Attacking & Capture
Drag from your planet to a target, then release to pick how many probes to send. Every probe arrives, so there is no loss in transit, and any target is reachable. While dragging, the cursor shows the travel time.
Speed depends on where you launch
The cost of distance is speed, and speed depends on where the swarm launches from, not on how big it is. Swarms launched near a galaxy's rim move fast, up to 4× the base speed, while swarms from deep in the core crawl at as little as ¼×, scaling with distance from the galaxy center. Rim fleets strike quickly; core fleets are slow, which gives defenders time to react.
Capture
When your swarm reaches an enemy or neutral planet, its probes fight the defenders. Have more probes left at the end and the planet is yours. Probes sent to your own planets, or an ally's, reinforce them instead.
